National Park Ranthambore - Places to See

Ranthambore national park has several distinct regions, with varying physical features and vegetation. Each region is home to different species of animals. A list of must-see places is detailed below:
- Bakaula: Bakaula is one of the thickly forested regions of the park. It has several small pools and water holes. The availability of water and vegetation makes it a favourite amongst the wildlife.
- Malik Talao: The smallest of all lakes at Ranthambore is the Malik talao. It is known for its population of birds and marsh crocodiles.
- Kachida Valley: Located at the outskirts of the park this terrain comprises of many rocky and low hills. It is a favourite place to see the panthers of Ranthambore.
- Lakarda and Anantpura: This north-western region of the park is the main abode of sloth bears. If one is lucky enough one can also see the pug marks left by the striped hyenas.
- Padam Talao: One the largest lakes in the park, is also the main water source for the park animals. The beautiful Jogi mahal is located at the edges of the lake.

Ranthambore fort: One of the highest places of the park, the fort majestically looks over the entire park. Tigers of the park are often spotted in the fort ruins.

| Other regularly visited sites are the Rajbagh ruins, rajbagh talao etc. Hiring a good guide, knowing about the general history of the region is advised. |
